Before you upgrade My Story Writer you should always backup the database. Backing up the database is a simple process that consists of the following steps:

   1. Click the Application Button in the upper left hand corner of My Story Writer. This will drop down the Application Menu.

   2. From the Application Menu, highlight the Support Menu Option. This will open the Support Menu.

   3. From the Support Menu highlight the Database Menu and then select the Backup Database option.

   4. Add a name for the backup and select the backup location, the backup will now start.

Databases can be restored at any time. To restore a database complete the steps above but instead of selecting Backup Database select Restore Database.
